We are therefore seeking to recruit a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as an Audit/ Compliance Officer.

Reporting to the Financial Comptroller, the Audit/Compliance Officer will work closely with the finance management team to ensure that there is compliance with all legal, statutory, financial policies, procedures and internal controls.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • To assist in the performance of risk assessments for various departments
  • To identify, analyse and evaluate internal controls in an Electronic Data Processing (EDP) environment
  • To perform cash counts, stock counts and asset verifications as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit working papers and audit consolidation packages.
  • Ensure that all internal and external audit findings are promptly addressed.
  • Ensure that the company’s internal controls area adhered to.
  • Monitoring established KPI’s and reporting on anomalies.
  • Assist the Financial Comptroller in the execution of assignments.

Job Requirements

  • At least a Degree in Accounting or advance certification in accounting
  • Approximately two (2) years practical on the job experience in auditing or accounting is required for acceptable proficiency.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • An understanding of quantitative analysis methods and internal controls for EDP accounting and other systems.Ability to document systems, data and document flows and internal controls and to prepare system and process flowcharts and other data flow diagrams.
  • Ability to communicate in written, oral and graphic form to all levels of staff and to work together with the management to develop solutions to identified systems and operational deficiencies.
