We are therefore   seeking to recruit a dynamic, results oriented Human Resources professional to join our Team as Employee Experience Manager.

Reporting to the Divisional Human Resources Manager (DHRM), the Employee Experience Managers (EEM) will assist with the day-to-day HR operations for Coreas Hazells Inc. and its subsidiaries and undertake the learning and Development Portfolio across GEL Building Supplies Division.  As the Learning & Development Lead, the Employee Experience Manager’s objective is to optimize employees’ talents and assist them in developing to their full potential. The Employee Experience Manager’s focus is on the learner’s needs and the needs of the organization.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support the DHRM in the development of a training strategy for the short and long term to be used to develop training and succession plans. Utilising techniques of training needs assessments, organisational needs, department needs and individual employee needs.
  • In consultation with the DHRM, design and develop training and instructional material for in-house courses based on the department, organisation, and individual needs. Additionally, seek external facilitators and programs as required.
  • Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy for the Company in conjunction with Management and employees.
  • Work with DHRM to develop and recommend initiatives based on the results of engagement surveys to continuously improve employee engagement.
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention programmes in accordance with Company Policy and procedures.
  • Assist with the mediation of difficult employee disputes, grievances and/or other interactions as a neutral party with a view to resolve and de-escalate conflicts among impacted parties.
  • Assist with overseeing the Company’s performance appraisal system within the subsidiaries.
  • Support management by ensuring compliance with OSH Act and & Group HSSE policies, provide education opportunities for employees on safety and health practices.
  • Prepare and distribute internal communications, aimed at improving communication across the Company such as the Employee Newsletter.
  • Demonstrate the expected behaviours of a Coreas Hazells Leader

Job Requirements

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Effectiveness or Business, or a related field; post graduate certificate in a related field will be an asset.
  • At least 5 years of proven Human Resources leadership experience as an HR Generalist with at least 3 years at a Senior or Supervisory level.

Must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

  • Human resources management
  • Job description development
  • Performance review methods and techniques
  • Knowledge and experience of needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation of training.
  • Employee recognition practices
  • An understanding of relevant employment legislation
  • Evidence of success in a human resources role in an environment which has included advising managers and handling day-to-day operational activities.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Caribbean.
